HANNEN
Donna Jean passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on March 12, 2008 at Penticton Regional Hospital.
She was born Donna Jean Hale on November 29, 1940 in Toronto, ON and grew up in Meadowvale, ON. In October 1957 she married Douglas Hannen and together they had a family. The family moved west in 1979 to Tacoma, WA and have lived in BC since 1982. Donna was married for 48 years until the passing of Douglas in 2005.
Donna enjoyed her family and the holidays, spending hours preparing for those times they spent together. She had a passion for crafts, pets, and a love for the movies.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Denise Hannen, Judy (Garry) James, Linda (Jim) Wilson, and Susan (Don) Shuffelen. She will also be deeply missed by her dear grandchildren: Melissa, Heather, Mathew, Douglas, Coral and Brenley and great-grandson Douglas.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sara Broder and the staff at Penticton Regional Hospital for their care and compassion to Donna and the immediate family during the time they spent there.
A Celebration of Donna's life will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, B.C.
There is a viewing for the hour prior to the service. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Donna's memory.
