Don A. “Sandy” Purver late of Barriere, BC passed away on December 3, 2005 at the age of 81, at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. He is survived by Joan, his wife of 40 years, his 4 daughters Shiela (Don) Hoffman, Marguerite (Neil) Robertson, Dawn Marie Purver (Richard), Rose Purver (Curtis), grandÂdaughters Nicole and Robyn Hoffman, Âspecial cousins Dennis Cox of Calif. and Ed Snider of Chilliwack. He was predeceased by his parents Marguerite O. and Charles “Alex” Purver and his sister Ruth Sorenson. Sandy was born July 4, 1924 in Vancouver and raised on the homestead farm in Clayburn, BC. Sandy was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge and Gizeh Temple Shriners.
Urn interment will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery on Friday, September 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Gizeh Patient Transfer Fund at 3550 Wayburn Drive, Burnaby, BC V5G 3K9, in memory of Don “Sandy” Purver.
