David Alexander KIRK

May 18, 2005

David Alexander

David was called home by his Lord on May 18, 2005 at the age of 57. David was born on October 8, 1947 in Edmonton. Alberta. He was predeceased by his mother Elsie and Father, Frank and brother Daniel.

David accepted Jesus as his Saviour at the age of 12 and loved and served Him wholeheartedly, as witnessed in his endeavours of working with youth in boys clubs and Sunday School. He also had an effective ministry with adults in preaching, teaching and mentoring.

He will be remembered and missed for his positive approach to life, a great sense of humour and a ready word of wisdom and encouragement to all who asked.

He leaves behind many who will miss his unique characteristics, especially his wife of 37 years, Elma, two sons, Tim (Kim) and Mike (Sharon), seven much loved grandchildren and goddaughter Shara (Sean). Also left to miss him are his three sisters Sharon, Joan and Ronnalynne, a large extended family and many, many friends.

We cherish many wonderful memories, and the knowledge he lived life to the fullest. We are comforted to know that our separation is a temporary and brief one, and we look forward to seeing him again.

The funeral service and celebration of David’s life will be held on Sunday, May 29th, 2005 at South Abbotsford Mennonite Brethren Church at 3:00 pm. A public viewing will take place 2:00-2:45pm just prior to the service.

For those desiring, donations may be made in David’s memory to the Cancer Society.
