Daniel James Weisbeck, of Vancouver BC, passed peacefully with his children by his side, on January 12, 2018 at the age of 77.

Born in Kelowna BC October 24, 1940 to Manuel and Celia (Fahlman) Weisbeck, Dan grew up helping on the family farm and orchard. After graduating from Rutland High School in 1960, Dan moved to Vancouver to attend UBC where he completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree before obtaining his Chartered Accountant designation.

In 1969, he married Barbara (Williams) and together started their family. In 1977, Dan moved the family to Abbotsford to join as a partner of McDonald, Plunz and Company. He remained with the firm through its various mergers eventually becoming a partner of KPMG.

Dan truly loved his work and enjoyed a long and successful career as a Chartered Accountant. Throughout his career Dan was highly respected for his professionalism, his integrity and his keen financial acumen. After his retirement as a partner with KPMG in 1999, Dan returned to Vancouver where he served on several boards and volunteered his time assisting small businesses and charities.

In later life, Dan faced many health issues with resilience, strength and tremendous courage. Family was always foremost in Dan's life.

He is survived by daughter Karen (Alex), son David (Jacqueline), grandchildren Dylan, Cameron, Emma and Evan, sister Diane, brother Carson (Eunice), as well as numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Parish, 3778 West 28 Avenue, Vancouver, with Father Paul Smith, celebrant.
