Cornelius C. Pauls passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Sunday evening, May 28, 2006 in his home at St. Martha's Place in Banff. Cornie enjoyed life to the age of 96. A farmer in his younger days, he divided his elder years spending winters living with one of his daughters on the acreage in British Columbia and summers on his home farm in Alberta that his son still owns.
When his health didn't permit those trips he settled into a home in the Bow River Lodge in Canmore, later to take residence at St. Martha's Place in Banff.
He was much loved and will be greatly missed by his son Ken (Gaye) Pauls of Canmore; and daughters Marlene Budd of Canmore, Mariann (Tim) Miller of Abbotsford, BC, and Edith Bambullis of Calgary.
Cornie was blessed with six grandchildren, Kenny, Collin, Jesse, Amber, Angela and Jason, and nine great grandchildren, Jordan, Kyle, Jared, Matthew, Sara, Austin, Joey, Taylor, and Tanisha.
Cornie was predeceased by his wife Anna and one grandÂdaughter, Brittany. He will return to rest in the Mt. Lehman cemetery beside them.
A memorial service in celebration of Cornie's life was held at the Bow River Funeral Chapel in Canmore on Friday, June 2, 2006 at 1:00 pm.
We thank the Lord for Cornie's life until we meet again.
Interment will be held at Mt. Lehman cemetery on Friday, June 9 at 11:00 am.
