Colin H. passed away suddenly in Mission, BC on November 1, 2006 at the age of 88 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife Julie and son John. Saddened by his loss is daughter Diane (Les) Clark, sister Pat (Jack) Gallagher, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, dear friend Lucy and numerous nieces and nephews. Colin had a variety of jobs in his lifetime: pipefitter, mechanic, carpenter and guitar teacher. He was also a self-employed musician who played in many bands in Vancouver and Vancouver Island. He had a passion for music, especially jazz and he would often play piano at Carrington House where he resided. During his years in Sooke, on Vancouver Island, he was an avid photographer and many of his photos graced the pages in the local newspapers. He also built, on his own, a miniature steam locomotive and made most of the parts himself. He formed a steam club and a miniature railroad track was built on his property. Many came to visit and ride the train. He was a very social person with a great sense of humor and had many interests which always kept him busy. He was always ready to lend a hand to whomever needed it. A private family gathering will be held in Mission.
“We will miss him dearly.”
