Claude McDonald

1931 ~ 2017


It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of “Claude” Clovella William Gerald McDonald. Born March 1, 1931 in Glengarry, Ontario, passed away peacefully February 20, 2017 in Mission, BC. Predeceased by his sister Ursula. Survived by his wife of 57 years Marjorie Jean; children Patrick (Debra), Joseph (Marie), and Glen; grandchildren Bruce (Kayla), Mark (Alisha), James (Jennifer), Jacquie, Sara (Aaron), Annie and Stormey; great grandchildren Vanessa, Samantha, Kacey, Johnathan, Michael, Marie and Megan; and brothers Angus and Robert (Jean). Claude was a member of RC Legion BR. #57, Department of Veterans and Loc 97 Ironworkers. Claude and his brother James Robert trained together at Shilo, Manitoba in 1951. He served with the PPCLI during the Korean War and was wounded in 1952 in Korea. Private family service and interment at Hatzic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the RC Legion Br. #57 would be appreciated. We would like to extend our thanks to BC Ambulance and Mission Firefighters who were respectful and professional when attending our residence on various occasions.
