Charles "John" YOUNG

May 28, 2007

1939-2007

John Young passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, May 28, 2007, with his family at his side. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan on December 10, 1939, he grew up in New Westminster, and eventually settled in Mission, B.C. to raise his own family.

His profession was psychiatry, but his passion was English literature. He had a generous spirit and a contagious sense of humor. Many of us are very grateful for the opportunities we had to re-build stronger connections with him over the last few years.

He will be fondly remembered by his daughter, Jennifer, son, Michael, ex-wife, Jean, and sisters Roberta Kepler, Kay Wahl and Darlene Becker.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Jeff Kornelson and to all the nurses, volunteers and staff at the Christine Morrison Hospice unit for such devoted and compassionate care of our dad and ourselves.

A gathering to honor and remember John will be held this Thursday, May 31, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Best Western Hotel in Mission. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated.
