AEBIG , CHARLES HAROLD

Born February 11, 1914 in Yorkton, SK, passed away September 22, 2008 in Abbotsford, BC. Predeceased by wife Mabel and sister Charlotte. Survived by son Glen (Judy); granddaughter Deanna (John); grandson Sean; sisters Laura & Marjorie (John) brothers Harold (Helena); Robert and many nieces and nephews.

Charlie started his career in the telecommunications industry with CN Rail in the 1930's. His career with CN was interrupted when he enlisted in the Canadian Army serving overseas in England during WW II. After returning from England, he completed his 35 years of service with CN before taking early retirement in 1969. He then made a career change and spent a number of years with various property management companies in Vancouver. Charlie was very active with his church associations and served a number of years providing leadership on the Boards of Buelah Garden Homes and Keats Island Baptist Camp.

The family would like to thank his many friends and caregivers who provided support and care to Charlie for so many years. A memorial service will be held Friday October 3, 2008 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlie's name to Keats Island Baptist Camp.
