September 2, 1961 - March 17, 2019
Even though Brenda faced many trials in her life, her dedication and love for the Lord was evident. A passage she leaned on was 1 Peter 1:3-9. Brenda's faith in God gave her an assurance she'd spend eternity with her Saviour once she'd endured the trials of this life.
Brenda was born in Mission, BC on September 2, 1961. In 1982, 2002, 2011, 2017 and 2018 Brenda received various cancer diagnoses and fought them all until the end.
She loved her family immensely and treasured every second she could spend with them. Brenda lived in Mission, Prince George and Abbotsford, BC. She volunteered at the MCC and Salvation Army (Christmas Tree program).
Brenda passed away peacefully in Abbotsford, BC on March 17, 2019 at the age of 57 while surrounded by family and friends. Brenda is survived by her husband John, her parents Ivan and Betty Unruh, sister Cheryl (Mark), sons Christopher, Matthew (Allison) and Daniel (Angela) and grandchildren Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Victoria and Cove.
Mom's legacy of loving God, valuing family, enduring adversity and helping others will live on in the memories of those she left behind. She is and always will be greatly missed.
