Bramwell John STOBBART

December 6, 2006

Bramwell John

In loving memory of our father, husband, brother, grandfather, and friend, Bramwell John Stobbart peacefully passed away at MSA Hospital on December 6, 2006 after a valiant battle with heart disease. He will be missed dearly by his family. Bram was born February 27, 1931 in Drumheller, AB, to James and Margaret (nee Walker) Stobbart. Survived by his loving wife Vera, married 56 years; his beloved children, Rick, Sylvia (Rusty), David, and Terry; his adoring grandchildren, Jim (Shelly), Colin (Natalie), Becky (Darin), Tessa (Shawn), Katie and Jenny; his much loved great grandchildren, Kiana, Kenzie, Kamryn, Kylar and Lily. Bram is also survived by brother Dick (Bev) and sister Betty (Alf) as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Bram also had many good friends and will be remembered lovingly by all who knew him. Bram was predeceased by his parents, and his brother James.

Bram served his country for 19 years in the Signal Corp., Rank Sergeant in the Canadian Armed Forces. He retired in 1974 and began a second career as a guard in the BC Penitentiary System. Ill health forced him to retire from that career in 1984. Bram kept busy with his woodworking art as well as golfing as much as he was able to. He enjoyed the many times spent with family and friends. His ability to push beyond his ill health and inspire others to keep going is something that will be remembered by all who knew him.

There will be a Celebration of Bram's life held at the Community Hall at 32691 Garibaldi Drive, Abbotsford, BC. A tea will be provided on December 16, 2006 from 2-4 pm. Family and friends are welcome to come and share stories about Bram.
