GILL, Bikram Singh

September 10, 1938 – June 18, 2008

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bikram S. Gill. Bikram was born in the village of Moga, Punjab; India. Since arriving in Canada in 1969 he worked in the forestry industry in Avola, and then moved to Clearwater until 1981 at which point he settled in the Abbotsford area with his family.

He leaves behind his wife Jagdish, daughters Maninder and Satinder, and many relatives and friends.

Bikram was an avid and accomplished runner in his youth and still held a great interest in track. He had a passion for writing and his poems had been published as part of a few collections of Punjabi poetry. Bikram was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His quick wit, valuable advice, and constant ability to put a smile on the faces of his friends and family will be remembered fondly.

We love you, miss you dearly, and will hold you in our hearts always.
