Betty NEUMANN

December 21, 2004

Betty Neumann passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord on December 21, 2004, at the age of 70. She was born on September 20, 1934 in Fairholm, SK.

She is lovingly remembered by George, her husband of 49 years; dear children: son Brad (Allison), daughters Heather (Sieg) Wuensche, Laurel (Steve) Ross, and sons Rod (Carol), and Greg (Darlene); 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She will also be missed by her mother Marie Balzer; brothers Jack, Ed, and Gord and sisters Erika, Edith, Dorothy, and Ruth and their families.

She was predeceased by her father John Balzer.

Mom was a loving person with an enduring faith in Jesus Christ. She expressed this in song through her piano and voice as a longstanding member of the First Baptist Church of Kitimat. At home, her beautiful gardens were worked with strong and caring hands. She loved having all of her family under her roof for fellowship and her incredible food. Granny adored her grandchildren and felt great pride in their many accomplishments. We are all stronger because of her patience, kindness, sense of humour and unconditional love. She will be missed immensely.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday December 28, 2004 at 11:00 am from Maclure Road Cemetery, (Maclure and Hwy. 11), followed by a Memorial service at 1:00 pm from South Abbotsford Mennonite Church, 32424 Huntington, Abbotsford.

Donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of BC, in memory of Betty.

Special thanks go out to her caregivers at Ebenezer Home, for their special care in the last months of her life.
