Cochrane, Barbara Ellen
Barb Cochrane of Abbotsford, BC passed away on October 24, 2009 at Vancouver General Hospital.
Barb is survived by her husband, Al and her son Shaun, her parents Patrick and Maureen Mackey, her sister Connie (Nunzio) Forese and brothers Patrick (Christine) Mackey and Steven (Janie) Mackey. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Wilma Power and Judy (Rob) Dyck and brother-in-law Ward (Kerrie) Cochrane and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Barb was born in Montreal, Quebec. She attended school in Montreal and graduated from O'Sullivan business School. She started her career with the Bank of Montreal in 1975 in Montreal at the head office. She transferred to the Vancouver regional office in 1978 and finished her career with the bank in Abbotsford, BC in 1982. She then joined her husband's accounting firm as the office manager. She retired in June, 2009 after 27 years. On July 14th, 1979 she married the love of her life, Al Cochrane. On July 12, 1986 they were blessed with the arrival of their son, Shaun. Barb and Al celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary in 2009 with an Alaska Cruise.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford, BC on October 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY.
