Arnold KLINGER

January 23, 2007

Arnold

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and friend, Arnold on January 23, 2007 at MSA Hospital. Arnold died peacefully surrounded by his family.

Born in Rawa, Poland on June 4, 1929, dad immigrated to Canada in 1950. His first job was working on a dairy and chicken farm in White Rock, B.C. From there he went on to work at Swifts in New Westminster where he earned enough to buy his own dairy farm in Langley in 1958. Together, with mom, he built up a very successful dairy operation. In 1971 dad sold that operation and bought a new farm in Matsqui, B.C. where he farmed for another 35 years. Together with his wife and son, dad worked hard at improving the farm and building a fine Holstein herd.

During the last few years he enjoyed retirement and doing whatever he could to help out on the farm. His greatest joys were his family, friends, and his farm.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth, his daughter Doris (Brad) Weidenhammer, son Bernie and many friends and relatives.

The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses in the ICU, especially Krista, Lydia and Lisa.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 30, 2007 at 11:00 am from Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3232 272nd Street Aldergrove, B.C. Visitation will be on January 30, 2007 between 10:00 am and 10:30 am at First Memorial Funeral Services, 27555 31st Avenue, Aldergrove, B.C.
