SUDERMAN, Annie
Annie Suderman (nee: Friesen) passed away on July 26, 2010. Her life began on December 22, 1919, in Gnadenheim Russia. In 1926 the family immigrated to Canada where they stayed with the Suderman family in Osborne Manitoba for a month, then moved on to LaSalle Manitoba. As a child, Annie only received minimal education. She was the oldest of 12 children and spent most of her time at home helping her mother with her siblings. When Annie was old enough to leave home, she found a job as a Nanny. During that time, she became reacquainted with Peter Suderman, whom she had known in her childhood days, and on March 10, 1946 they married and moved to BC. Soon the children started coming, one after another, till the house was bursting with 8 of them. In the 1970's, Annie daycared 8 more children. Clearly, Annie loved children! In social settings Annie was shy and reticent, but within the home she was strong, courageous, confident and organized. She was a master homemaker and loved her family and her work. As a young girl, Annie accepted the Lord Jesus as her Saviour, and in a time and culture when you didn't talk about things, she found in her Lord, One that she could talk to about everything. In her relationship with her Lord, she increased in love and wisdom, finding strength and courage to meet the many demands of her life.
We rejoice with our Mother as she is now with the Lord and reunited with her husband, Peter Suderman, her daughter Ruth and son, Albert. The rest of us: Betty, who has spent the past several years caring for Mom, Walter (& Gloria), Edith (& Ken), Linda (& Kim), Dave (& Debbie), Jim (& Monique), 11 grandchildren (& 4 grand-in-laws) and 9 great grandchildren, will miss her terribly and look forward to being reunited with her.
A Memorial Service will be held at Sevenoaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, on August 6 at 11:00 am. Condolences to the family may be made at www.woodlawnfh-abbotsford.com
