STANCZYK

Aniela (Nellie), (nee Kokoska), passed away peacefully at the ECU of Mission Memorial Hospital on August 23, 2010 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband (Jan) John in 1972. Nellie was born on March 27th 1921 in Nisko, Poland and emigrated with her family in 1927 to farm in the Peace River country near Tee Pee Creek on the banks of the Smoky River. In 1935 she moved to the Durieu/Hatzic Prairie area where she met her husband John; together they operated a dairy farm on Durieu Road and raised 7 children. She is survived by her children Anna (Tom), Lawrence (Irene), Edward, Felixa (Dave), Malvina (Lewis), Irene, Gordon (Judy), 11 grand- children, 10 great-grand children, 1 sister and 1brother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 32550 7th ave, Mission, on Saturday August 28th 2010 at 11:00am. Internment to follow at the Hatzic Cemetery with tea to follow at St. Joseph’s. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mission Health Care Auxiliary. The family would like to thank Dr. Finch and Dr. Patel for their years of excellent care and also much thanks and appreciation to the ECU staff for their wonderful care.
