Toews, Alma Nora. It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alma Nora Toews, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on February 2, 2012, at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital in Abbotsford, BC. Left to cherish Mom's memory are her daughters, Brenda, Heather, Marion, Bonny, her son Jonathan, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, John & Helen Thiessen, and her husband, Abram Toews. Besides her immediate family, she will also be missed by her siblings, Edith, Clara, Victor and Ruth. Although she touched many hearts with her full, long life, her family was her greatest pride and joy. Her sunny disposition brightened our days. Those who knew or met Mom could readily see her love for the Lord and others, through her committed involvement in the New Life Pentecostal Church. Special thanks to the Menno Home staff, the ARHCC emergency room team, Dr. Newton, Dr. Potter and the palliative care team, as well as the Baker 2 medical team, at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. We especially appreciate Ruth Thiessen for her integral role in Mom's care in the final phase of her journey. A Memorial Service was held today at Clearbrook MB Church at 11am.
