Allen Harvey Dixon, late of Bevan Lodge, Abbotsford, BC passed away peacefully August 9, 2004. Allen was born April 11, 1915 in Vancouver, BC. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Dorothy Florence in April 2004 and his daughter Patricia Louise April 1998. He is survived by his son Terrence Allan Dixon (Judy) of Port Alberni and his grandson Steven Allan Dixon of Vancouver, BC.
Allen graduated from UBC with a degree in Forest Engineering. He began his career with the BC Forest Service in 1939 and retired in 1978 as District Forester. His career led his family to New Westminster, Victoria, Prince George (twice) and Kamloops.
Allen served three years in Europe with the Royal Canadian Engineers 1942 to 1945.
Allen’s pride and joy after his family was the family cabin on Sheridan Lake that he built in 1958.
No service by request. A ‘short’ toast in Allen’s memory with your next drink would be entirely appropriate.
He will be fondly remembered.
