Late Notice of Upper Sumas Pioneer
1917 - 2004
Albert passed away on Jan. 18, 2004 in Fort St. John Hospital. He was the eldest son of Bert(Albert) and Clytie (nee Bowman) Greeno.
His mother's family, the Bowmans, moved to Sumas Prairie in the late 1870's. His father Bert came to Upper Sumas in 1915. They had two sons, Albert and Daniel. Dan graduated from UBC and moved to California.
Albert farmed with his parents at Upper Sumas south of Vye Road on Lamson Road. He sold the farm in 1970, but kept the house on Vye Road for a few more years. In 1977 he moved to Fort St. John. He has resided in the North Peace Care Centre since about 1991.
