Albert (Bert) Wilfred was born on March 3, 1913 to a pioneering family in Fort Saskatchewan, AB and passed away peacefully on June 14, 2006 in Abbotsford, BC. Predeceased by his four Âsisters, he will be lovingly remembered by his wife Willene, sons Ross (Mary Ann), Gary (Olive), daughters Marilyn and Bonnie also sons Donald and William, six grandÂchildren and six great grandchildren. A pilot with the Commonwealth Air Training Plan during the war, Bert enjoyed telling stories of his flying adventures in Canada's north. His love of music was often demonstrated by his talented piano and organ playing and impromptu jam sessions with friends.

Funeral service and reception will be held on Mon., June 19, 2006 at 10:30 am from the Âchapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be held following the reception at Valley View memorial Gardens, 14644 - 72nd Ave., Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Menno Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
