April 1, 1920 – November 22, 2020
With heavy hearts the family of Anges (known as Puff) announces her passing, peacefully on November 22, 2020 at 100 years of age at Abbotsford Hospital with her family at her side.
Puff was born in Nelson, BC and at an early age the family moved to Princeton, BC where she spent the next 35 years. While in her early 20’s she became a hairdresser. She married Robert (Bobby) Mitchell in 1946 and together they raised a family.
They were blessed with 3 children while in Princeton and then moved to Powell River in the early 60’s where they were blessed with one more child and eventually settled in Abbotsford. Puff and Bobby were married for 52 wonderful years until his passing.
Puff enjoyed singing in the choir, dancing, knitting, cooking and baking. Over the years she continued to use her hairdressing skills for family and friends. She also spent many years babysitting her grandchildren as well as other children.
In her later years she stayed with Jeanette and Clayton and enjoyed being with family. There was a special place in her heart for her cats and the dogs. She also enjoyed going to her Day Program at the Cottage.
Puff was the most honest, down to earth, giving, caring, selfless, strong individual with many talents of which she excelled. The most important to her was the deep love she had for her family and friends. What a privilege it was for us to have had her in our lives.
Puff is survived by daughters Lynn and Jeanette (Clayton) and daughter-in-law Bonnie, grandchildren Chad (Carla), Bill (Cher), Renay (Frank), James (Samantha), Lindsey, Carly, and Colby and great grandchildren Ashlee, Logan, Autumn, Colson and Charlie.
Puff was predeceased by her loving husband Robert, son Bill and daughter Joanie. She was laid to rest November 30, 2020 at Hazelwood Cemetery officiated by Chad Fast (Grandson).
Sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses, and care aides who graciously helped in the care of Mom.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC SPCA.
Love you Always and Forever
