The public will get a chance to weigh in on a proposal to construct two six-storey apartment buildings on a vacant lot near Mill Lake Park.
Council gave a rezoning application for the 82-unit project first and second readings Monday. The project, located on Ware Street just to the east of Mill Lake, will now proceed to a public hearing at a future date.
The development aligns with the city’s recently adopted Official Community Plan, according to staff. If approved, the developer would contribute $10,000 towards the improvement of the Bourquin Crescent entrance to Mill Lake Park.
