Vehicle crashes, flips on its side in downtown Mission

The vehicle came to a stop in front of the Mission Post Office

A vehicle has crashed onto the sidewalk and flipped over on its side in downtown Mission this (Wednesday, March 20) morning.

The accident took place at about 10 a.m.

Mission RCMP, Mission Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance Services were all on scene.

Police have not yet determined how the single vehicle accident occurred, but did say there were no signs of impairment.

The sole occupant of the vehicle escaped any serious injuries. The man was examined on scene by medical professionals.

Police called the incident a slow speed accident, adding the car merely rolled over when it went onto the sidewalk.

A large crowd gathered around the scene and traffic along First Avenue was down to a single lane for a short time.
