A female robbery suspect is shown with the get-away vehicle outside a Marshall Road hotel that was targeted on Tuesday morning.

The Abbotsford Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred in a hotel early Tuesday morning in the 32000 block of Marshall Road.

Const. Ian MacDonald said the incident took place at about 4:40 a.m. Two men and a woman entered the hotel lobby and bound the hands of a male employee working at the front desk.

The worker was shaken up, but not injured, MacDonald said.

One of the men brandished an apparent handgun, and the trio took the cash register tray with them when they fled in a silver four-door Honda.

All three suspects were Caucasian.

One of the men was described as 5’ 8” with a slim build. He was 30 to 35 years old and was wearing a black jacket and light-coloured baseball cap and was holding what appeared to be a handgun.

The other man also had a slim build but was 25 to 35 years old. He was wearing dark clothing with a black T-shirt in his hand that he wrapped around his head and face just before committing the robbery.

That action can be viewed on security video that was obtained from the scene and which police have released in hopes of helping to identify the suspects.

The female suspect is described as 5’ 7’’ with a slim build. She was about 35 years old, with blonde or brown hair in a ponytail, and wearing blue jeans, a pink jacket, a striped shirt and carrying a black bag.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225, text 222973 (abbypd) or call Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
