Student riding bike struck by vehicle near Abbotsford Middle School

Student transported to hospital with minor injuries, driver stayed on scene

A student riding their bike was struck by a vehicle near Abbotsford Middle School this morning.

The accident occurred around 8:15 a.m. and parents driving to the school were reportedly having trouble dropping their kids off.

The student only suffered minor injuries but was sent to the hospital for precautionary measures, according to Const. Rob Dyck of the Abbotsford Police Department. The driver stayed on scene.
