VIDEO: Plane makes emergency landing at Abbotsford Airport

Nobody injured in incident on Thursday afternoon

A two-seater Cessna float plane had to make an emergency landing this afternoon at Abbotsford Airport, but nobody was injured.

Airport general manager Parm Sidhu said the plane was from a local flight school, and there was a slight problem with the landing gear.

The plane landed safely at about 3:45 p.m., coming to a rest half on and half off the east-west runway.

Sidhu said the incident resulted in a 20-minute delay for one flight, but the airport is now back in normal operation.
