Mission RCMP are looking for a quartet of Caucasian males suspected of trying to rip off a licensed marijuana grow operation.

Shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to Dewdney Trunk Road for a home invasion in progress. Four males had attempted to gain entry to the home by stating they were the RCMP. When the owner didn't open the door, the group broke it in and demanded to know where the marijuana was located.

The male resident was unharmed, and the suspects did not find the drugs.

A second 911 call was received from a neighbour who saw a late model van parked in front of the home. A dog team was brought in, but couldn't find a track, and a licence number wasn't obtained, said Mission RCMP Sgt. Miriam Dickson.

The suspects are described as wearing black hoodies with white designs and running shoes. One was described as being in his late 30s, approximately 6' tall and bald, while two others were younger. No physical details of the fourth were obtained.
