A two-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Harris Road has resulted in the death of a male driver.
The collision took place at about 11:20 a.m. in the area of Olund and Harris roads, involving a Honda Civic and a GMC pickup truck with trailer.
Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said the three occupants of the truck were uninjured, but the driver of the Honda was seriously injured and trapped inside the car when first responders arrived.
The man, who was the only occupant of the Honda, died at the scene.
Harris Road between Mt. Lehman and Bates roads will be closed for several hours, as patrol division officers and collision reconstructionists continue their investigation.
The exact circumstances of the crash are not yet known.
