Police presence slows traffic on 16 Avenue

A police incident involving a reported dispute at a residence in the 23200 block of 16 Avenue in Langley slowed traffic along the busy connector route late Sunday afternoon, reducing it to an alternating single lane in either direction for more than an hour.

Police cruisers were stationed at the entrance road to a private property east of the intersection of 232 Street and 16 Avenue.

One person who lives down the road from the scene told The Times it wasn’t the first time police have attended.

The incident ended with no charges expected, police said.
