How much are your taxes going up?

Not everyone will see the same tax hike this year. Reporter Tyler Olsen explains.

Of the $3,447 in taxes and charges levied on a typical $588,000 single-family house in 2017, about two-thirds are municipal property taxes, including for police.

Abbotsford city staff have proposed a 2.47 per cent tax revenue increase. (Read the story here.) But homeowners’ tax bills could go up far more – or far less – than that, depending on their assessment.
