Traffic is backed up in both directions on Highway 1, following an incident east of Whatcom Road this afternoon.
Traffic is reduced to one lane headed eastbound, with paramedics, tow trucks and fire rescue crews on scene and at least one vehicle in the median.
Westbound traffic has also been affected, with traffic backed up in the same area.
