Police in Abbotsford seized a handgun and drugs, including fentanyl and cocaine, while executing a search warrant on Tuesday night (Nov. 3).

The Abbotsford Police Department’s gang crime unit and drug enforcement officers conducted the search at a residence in the 2500 block of Magnolia Crescent in central Abbotsford as part of a drug-trafficking investigation, a press release states.

They were assisted by the APD emergency response team and patrol division.

A 23-year-old man was arrested but has been released pending further investigation, police say. His name is not being released until charges are laid.
