A fire that destroyed Wisbey Veggies in Abbotsford on Thursday night is not being considered suspicious, but investigators are still trying to determine the cause.
Crews were called at about 10 p.m. to the scene at 40326 No. 3 Road at the intersection of Interprovincial Highway.
Fire Chief Don Beer said the building was engulfed in flames when crews arrived, and it's not known how long the fire had been burning before someone noticed it and called it in.
He said the building is a "total write-off."
The farm had just completed its first full day of business for the season. According to its website, it offers for sale items such as local berries, apples, tomatoes and corn.
The site, owned and operated by Joy and Bruce Wisbey, includes a country store, gardens and a nursery, a picnic area, playground and u-pick area.
