A loader crane truck toppled over Wednesday afternoon at the construction site for the new Abbotsford courthouse in the area of Trethewey Street and George Ferguson Way.
Few details are available at this time, but it doesn’t appear that anyone was injured in the incident.
As of 3 p.m., the truck was still on its side, and workers were gathered around.
A loader crane truck is used to help load and unload trucks and other heavy items.
The new Abbotsford courthouse was announced in February 2017 and is expected to open later this year.
The $152 million, 16,000-square-foot building will house 14 courtrooms (eight provincial, three Supreme and three initial appearance/conference rooms).
A worker was injured at the construction site in January of this year, after a boom lift tipped over and flung him against the adjacent wall.
In October 2019 at the site, emergency crews had to scale a multi-storey construction crane to rescue its operator, who has suffered a medical emergency inside.
