Christian Heritage Party running candidates in Abbotsford

The Christian Heritage Party of British Columbia (CHP) will be running candidates in all three local ridings, according to filings with Elections BC.

Dan Cameron is running in the Abbotsford-Mission riding, Ron Gray is running in Abbotsford South, and Lynn Simcox is running in Abbotsford West.

Cameron is a community support worker who lives in Mission, according to the CHP’s website. He’ll face the NDP’s Andrew Christie, the Green’s Jennifer Holmes and BC Liberal incumbent Simon Gibson.

After retiring in 2005 from a career in the telecom industry, Simcox bought a home in Abbotsford in 2010, according to his website. In Abbotsford West, he will face Green Party candidate Kevin Eastwood, BC Liberal incumbent Mike de Jong, and the NDP’s Preet Rai.

Gray, who led the Christian Heritage Party of Canada between 1995 and 2008, has a background in journalism and post-secondary education, and also previously worked for the federal Trade Commissioner Service. He lives in Abbotsford. In Abbotsford South, he will face incumbent BC Liberal Darryl Plecas, the NDP’s Jasleen Arora and the Green’s Aird Flavelle.
