A measles outbreak centred on Chilliwack has also resulted in exposure to thousands of students and staff at BCIT in Burnaby, where one student fell ill last week.
The student, who was exposed to the disease in Chilliwack, was at BCIT to take exams March 6 and 7.
Those exposed were advised to stay isolated at home until March 29 if they don't have documented immunizations, were born before 1970 or didn't previously have the measles.
Fraser Health officials said they expect higher immunization rates of around 85 per cent among BCIT students – compared to 60 to 70 per cent in some parts of the Fraser Valley – means a low risk of spread at the campus.
As of Tuesday, officials said there has been no significant measles spread outside of the eastern Fraser Valley, where 80 to 100 cases have been identified.
People who have had only one dose of measles vaccine rather than two are urged to get a booster dose as soon as possible.
