Abbotsford continues to be a lucky spot for lottery ticket buyers, as another local won big with a scratch and win ticket.

Leonna Dunning is now $50,000 richer after purchasing a winning Pool Party scratch and win ticket from 7-11 on McCallum Road.

Dunning ended up scratching away at home and was stunned to see the successful ticket emerge.

“The first thought that crossed my mind was that I did not believe it,” Dunning stated in a press release. “I needed my daughter to go out and confirm it.”

Dunning said she plans to use the majority of her win to help out her family, including her three children.

Her win comes shortly after Abbotsford long-haul truck driver Jagraj Grewal won $100,000 on a Price is Right scratch ticket that was purchased at Esso on South Fraser Way.
