Abbotsford Subway restaurant robbed by man with gun

A suspect who had his face covered robbed a Subway restaurant in Abbotsford on Monday night.

A Subway restaurant in the 32600 block of George Ferguson Way in Abbotsford was robbed on Monday night.

Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said a man entered the restaurant at 8:35 p.m. He displayed a handgun as he approached the cash register, and demanded cash.

The two female workers complied, and the suspect quickly fled westbound from the business.

The culprit is described as a Caucasian man, 20 to 40 years old, 5' 8" to 5' 10" tall, and with a thin build.

He was wearing jeans, white-and-black running shoes, and a black hooded jacket with a sweater underneath.

During the robbery, the man pulled the sweater up to cover the lower part of his face, while his hood covered most of the upper portion of his head.
