An eight-year-old Abbotsford girl is hoping to make a buck off of local Pokemon players.

Recently Lily, who attends Prince Charles elementary school, noticed a steady stream of pedestrians walking to a sign for nearby Berry Park, right across from her Fern Street home.

It turns out the park - or at least the sign - is a local 'Poke gym,' where players gather to battle the Pokemon they have collected in the popular augmented reality game.

The uptick in pedestrian traffic led Lily, her mother and her aunt to open a small roadside stand to sell refreshments and other goodies to the passersby.

By late Friday afternoon, they had already made a couple sales and were predicting more over the weekend.
