This Husky gas station at Marshall Road and Sumas Way was robbed at knifepoint on Monday morning.

The Husky gas station at Marshall Road and Sumas Way was robbed at knifepoint this morning (Monday).

The incident took place just before 8 a.m., when a man approached an employee at the counter and demanded cash.

Sgt. Judy Bird said that when the worker tired to call police, the suspect walked behind the counter, pulled out a knife, threatened him and grabbed money from the cash register.

The thief ran off across Marshall Road, and police were dispatched to the scene. A K9 unit was able to track the suspect’s scent to the nearby Home Depot but police were not able to find the man.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, about 5’ 8” and 130 pounds. At the time of the robbery, his face was covered with a black and white bandana and he was wearing black gloves, a grey toque, faded jeans, black runners and a black jacket with a grey stripe across the middle.
