UPDATE: Abbotsford man dies in Marshall Road crash

A crash on Marshall Road Thursday afternoon claimed the life of a 46-year-old Abbotsford man.

The man was the driver and sole occupant of a van that left the road and crashed into two trees in front of a home in the 34700 block of Marshall Road. The man was found to be in "serious medical distress" and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's name has not been released.

Abbotsford police continue to investigate the crash.
