Hospital Employees' Union and Sodexo reach tentative agreement

A tentative agreement has been reached between the Hospital Employees' Union and Sodexho at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre.

A meeting and ratification vote will take place June 24.

The proposed 40-month contract ending in September 2016 includes a modest wage increase of 80 cents an hour for all employees. According to the HEU, benefits will also improve.

More than 240 Hospital Employees' Union (HEU) members work in support services for Sodexho and have been without a contract since May 2013.

Sodexo is the French-multinational contracted by Access Health Ltd. in 2008, the corporation that runs ARHCC, to deliver support services.
