Motorcyclist seriously injured on Highway 1 in Abbotsford

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after he went off the road on Highway 1 in Abbotsford this evening (Saturday).

The rider was travelling west near Clearbrook Road just before 6 p.m., when he was believed to have experienced a medical emergency. He went through the median and down a grassy ditch, where he hit a fence.

This is the second serious motor vehicle accident on Highway 1 in Abbotsford today. Just after noon, a truck rolled over near the Sumas exit. Several people were taken to hospital, and one was in critical condition.
