Free Family Day activities in Abbotsford

The city of Abbotsford received $1,000 in provincial funding to support the community’s Family Day activities.

The funding will allow the city to offer free activities at the Sweeney Neighbourhood Centre on this Monday. Programs running for free include a family drop-in from 1 to 3 p.m. and a youth drop-in from 3 to 6 p.m.

Abbotsford and Matsqui Recreation Centres also have Family Day activities planned for $2 per person.

Abbotsford Recreation Centre is offering open playtime for children from 10 a.m. to noon and a swimming session from 2 to 5 p.m. Matsqui Recreation Centre holds a children’s open playtime from 9:30 to 11 a.m., a swim from 2 to 4 p.m. and a skating session from 6:45 to 8 p.m. All activities are run on a drop-in basis.
