Three suspects rob motel in Abbotsford

Three robbers targeted a motel in Abbotsford on Sunday night.

Const. Ian MacDonald said the incident took place at about 10:50 p.m. in the 1800 block of Sumas Way.

Three people wearing hoodies and with scarves covering their faces entered the business and demanded cash from the two employees at the front counter. One of the culprits produced a handgun.

The robbers stole cash from the till, as well as the female employee's purse and the male employee's wallet, and then ran from the scene.

The workers were not physically harmed.

The robbers are believed to be two men and one woman, all Caucasian.

One of the men was wearing a black hoodie and black pants, while the other was wearing a dark sweatshirt, possibly red, and blue jeans.

Both are described as having a stocky build.

The woman was wearing a lighter coloured sweatshirt and black track pants with a white stripe.
