Man wanted for robbery of woman who used bank ATM

The Abbotsford Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for the robbery of a woman who had just used a bank ATM.

Const. Ian MacDonald said Hardev Singh Grewal, 29, is considered a public safety risk.

He is wanted in relation to a robbery on Dec. 15 that occurred after a 55-year-old woman used an ATM at a bank in the area of Trethewey Street and South Fraser Way. The woman was followed and robbed.

Police have now issued a warrant for Grewal's arrest.

He is described as six feet tall, 150 pounds, with dark wavy hair, brown eyes and a beard.

MacDonald said Grewal should not be approached, and police should be contacted immediately if he is spotted.
