'Enchanted' evening for Abbotsford Hospice Society
The Abbotsford Hospice Society (AHS) held its annual gala fundraising event on Saturday night at the Ramada Plaza and Conference Centre.
The theme of the evening was "Enchanted."
AHS supports people who are dying and provides programs for children, teens and adults who are grieving.
The organization is building Holmberg House, a 10-bed facility that will care for patients as young as 19 who are unable to die at home.
Groundbreaking on that facility, located next to Abbotsford Regional Hospital as part of the Campus of Care Project, took place on Friday.
The Dave Lede Campus of Care also includes Canuck Place Children's Hospice and Matthew's House, a respite facility for children with severe disabilities.
