UPDATE: Single vehicle accident on Highway 1 in Abbotsford
A car hit both sides of the bridge at Cole Road on Highway 1 on Friday morning at about 10:30 a.m.
An Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service spokesperson said a female driver hit one side of the bridge at Cole Road, crossed the freeway, and hit the other side of the bridge before her vehicle came to a rest partially off the roadway in the fast lane.
She suffered an arm injury but did not require hospitalization.
Paramedics, Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service and RCMP were on the scene.
There have been several accidents on Highway 1 in the Abbotsford area this week, with the most serious occurring on Monday night.
