Police release photos of Subway robbery suspect
Abbotsford Police have released still images from surveillance video of a suspect in the robbery of a Subway restaurant, in hopes of tracking down the man.
The robbery took place on Monday, Feb. 4 at 3:30 p.m. in the 31900 block of South Fraser Way. The suspect approached the counter with what appeared to be a weapon in his hand and demanded cash.
He then jumped on the counter and accessed the cash register before fleeing.
The culprit is described as 5' 7" with a medium build and a dark complexion. His face was concealed with a stocking, and he was wearing a striped shirt and blue track pants.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Police do not believe there is any connection between this incident and a rash of Subway robberies that took place in Abbotsford over 18 months ago.
